On September 16, Insta360 partnered with Tencent Meeting to launch the Mic Pro Tencent Meeting Edition AI recording lavalier microphone, priced at RMB 698. Combining a lavalier mic and an AI voice recorder in one device, it is well suited to meetings and business interviews. The device weighs only 19 grams and can be worn either clipped on or magnetically attached.

The front of the device carries a customizable E Ink screen. Users can upload a name, company logo or image and use it directly as a digital ID badge, making them easy to identify during outside interviews and meetings.

For audio capture, the hardware uses a three-microphone array that picks up sound reliably within 5 meters, so participants in a multi-person meeting do not have to lean in close to speak.

Battery life is solid: under laboratory conditions it can record continuously for up to 9.5 hours, enough to get through a full day of meetings. It also supports fast charging, adding 1.5 hours of recording from a 5-minute charge, so a sudden low battery can be dealt with quickly.

The device has 32GB of built-in local storage, enough for 1,600 hours of audio. Recordings can be exported directly from local storage, so there is no fear of losing material if a wireless connection fails.

Its biggest highlight is its integration with the Tencent Meeting ecosystem: press a button to start recording, and the file syncs automatically to the Tencent Meeting app when recording finishes. AI can automatically transcribe speech into text, distinguish between different speakers and generate meeting minutes, organizing key points and action items, which saves the substantial time previously spent manually tidying up notes after a meeting.

It also supports translation across 26 languages, can call on the AI Yuanbao assistant for Q&A and can connect to a variety of AI work-tool chains.

It is not limited to office meetings: it can also capture audio during client visits, outside interviews and content shoots. Whereas an ordinary lavalier mic only handles audio capture, this product produces a written summary directly after recording, cutting down post-production work.
