SwitchBot 7.5-inch ePaper weather display

SwitchBot has recently unveiled a new smart home device: a 7.5-inch ePaper smart weather display with up to one year of battery life on a single charge, capable of presenting comprehensive meteorological data. The smart display also features AI-powered recommendations, offering outfit suggestions, travel advice, and motivational quotes tailored to the day's weather forecast.

The SwitchBot Weather Station is now available for $110 and offers comprehensive functionality: indoor and outdoor temperature and humidity, air quality, a 7-day weather forecast, wind speed and direction, sunset times, real-time UV index, and more. The device automatically refreshes its information every three hours.

The product was designed to replace weather apps on phones and computers, eliminating the need to frequently open electronic devices to check conditions. The system includes six built-in display themes, allowing users to freely adjust on-screen content. Paired with the brand's proprietary OpenClaw AI, users can also customize data table interfaces.

SwitchBot has not yet responded to media requests for comment.

Through the companion app, the device can push automatic alerts for abnormal temperature and humidity readings, enabling users to remotely adjust climate control devices and execute various smart home automation routines. The device features customizable physical buttons that, once paired with smart home devices, can trigger smart curtains, lighting, and other equipment with a single press. It also integrates with SwitchBot Meter Pro and other brand sensors for more precise environmental monitoring.

The ePaper display supports calendar synchronization, external sensor connectivity, and whole-home smart device integration, making it a versatile information terminal.

Compared to traditional full-color LED smart displays, ePaper consumes far less power while significantly reducing glare — solving the common problem of LED screens being unreadable in direct sunlight. The display is equipped with a front fill light for clear visibility in dim environments, and supports both desktop placement and wall mounting.

Users can sync the weather station with Google Calendar, Apple iCloud, and Microsoft Outlook, binding up to five different accounts. Family members can view their own schedules, to-do reminders, and set alarms individually.
